1. Oklahoma City Thunder
San Antonio is 1-6 in their last seven games against the Thunder. Here's another team that has been beating up on the Spurs as of late. It's time for that to change, and the NBA wants it to change. They want this rivalry to be a good one, as evidenced by their decision to place the two teams against each other for Rivalry Week last season.
One of the Spurs' best games of the year was against Oklahoma City, despite how good the Thunder were, finishing at the top of the standings in the Western Conference. The other three games were blowouts, making the win even more important to show the guys that they can compete with the best teams in the league.
Alamo City's representatives are looking to reduce the number of blowouts significantly in the next campaign. They can flip the outcome of many games with the added experience they added to the roster based on new talent acquisitions and the growth that fans will expect to see from the young guys entering another season. It would make a grand statement if they could open the season with a huge win over the Thunder, only energizing the fan base even more.
