In just a few short weeks, fans will get to see a glimpse of the new and improved San Antonio Spurs. The Spurs already had one of the best young rosters in the NBA, but more so now that they have number one pick Victor Wembanyama on their team. Even with Wembanyama, however, the Spurs are still likely to be underestimated next season.
After all, they are in a very tough conference, and even after landing a generational prospect, they could still be the 12th or 13th worst team in the West. That could soon change, but, for now, they may be the underdog against most of their opponents next season. On the bright side, oftentimes, young teams exceed expectations, and the Spurs have plenty of potential as well as depth.
That depth will be useful over a long season and will give each player on the roster a chance to show what they can do. However, they will still rely on their core of Wembanyama, Devin Vassell, Keldon Johnson, and Jeremy Sochan. Those four players are sure to draw plenty of attention from fans and opponents alike, but there are several players on the roster that will fly under the radar. Keep this in mind as we take a look at the most underrated players on the Spurs roster.
