20. Orlando Magic draft Jared McCain

The freshman got off to a slow start, but McCain quickly found his footing. Over his final 24 games before the NCAA Tournament, he averaged 15.4 points, 5.1 rebounds, 1.9 assists, and 1.1 steals in 34.0 minutes per game. McCain shot 47.6 percent from the field, 39.7 percent on his 3-point attempts, and 88.3 percent from the foul line over that stretch.

The 6’3 guard lacks length and is unlikely to be a defensive stopper. Teams will hunt him, especially in the playoffs, but McCain profiles as a strong shooter with a developing offensive game. He may top out as a secondary creator, but McCain should be a role player for years in the league.

The Magic are last in 3-pointers made per game and 29th in attempts. They need more shooting around Paolo Banchero and Franz Wagner. Orlando will likely be searching for Markelle Fultz's replacement this summer as well.

McCain can certainly fill that role. Orlando has Jalen Suggs as a strong defensive backcourt partner for the current Blue Devils guard. The Magic have selected several players at this position in recent years, but they are still searching for the right mix. McCain is a role player with upside to help a contender quickly.
