12. Chicago Bulls take Isaiah Collier

It has been a disappointing season for USC. They entered the season with plenty of hype as Collier was projected to be selected in the top five. The Trojans also had Bronny James but finished just 15-18 and did not qualify for the NCAA Tournament.

Collier had an up-and-down season for the Trojans. He rose to be the top prospect on many boards after a hot start before a cold shooting stretch and a hand injury dropped him down. The 6’5 guard returned, despite his team’s standing, and finished strong over his final 11 contests.

For the season, Collier averaged 16.3 points, 4.3 assists, 2.9 rebounds, and 1.5 steals in 30.0 minutes per game. He shot 49.0 percent from the field, but just 33.8 percent on his threes. There are questions about his jumper and decision-making, but getting a plus-athlete who loves to attack the paint is intriguing.

The Chicago Bulls have needed a point guard since Lonzo Ball suffered his first knee injury in January of 2022. Coby White is a strong scorer, but best suited playing next to a distributor. Isaiah Collier could fill that role with the size and strength to be an impactful defender. He will be difficult to pass up, despite it always being difficult to predict Chicago’s plans.
