Realistic - Gary Trent Jr - UFA

Gary Trent Jr shot 40% from three last season while San Antonio landed at 28th as a team in that stat. That alone is a reason the Spurs should be interested in his services. He is not a high-maintenance player demanding a ton of money, coming off an $18 million season and Trent Jr is only 25 years old. It's a low-risk, medium-reward move but not every signing can be a home run. Getting on base can be just as important to the process.

Realistic - Buddy Hield - UFA

Buddy Hield falls into the same category as Gary Trent Jr. He would be a hired sniper to space the floor for Wembanyama and Devin Vassell, making teams pay who would dare to leave him uncovered. Hield is 31 years old and has bounced around to several teams. The Spurs could likely add him to the roster at a very reasonable price. Neither he nor Trent Jr are known as great defenders, but neither was Patty Mills, and everyone knows how important he was.
