They're just oozing confidence.

These young Spurs are hungry, and whether the Thunder likes it or not, they're going to keep pushing the limit on what's possible. OKC kept pace in the opening quarter, but it didn't take long for the home team to tighten up their defense. The result was holding Oklahoma City to 83 points. After the game, Devin Vassell didn't hold back when asked what this team has learned about itself during the first postseason run.

"Experience does not matter. We're here. We've had all the experience we've needed this regular season, and we're going to keep proving everybody wrong. Whatever they got to say, it really don't matter. We're here now, and we'll see you in OKC." - Devin Vassell

He's exactly right because he and his teammates are making him right. Their play on the court backs up his word. Despite a 2-2 tie with the number one seed in the NBA, the Spurs have looked like the better team in three of the four contests. Their youth shows up in small ways and has cost them a game or two this postseason, but they always respond loudly. That's the mark of something special.

The Spurs are looking history in the eyes without blinking

If San Antonio were to win a championship, they would be one of the youngest teams to do so. That doesn't faze them. Victor Wembanyama has said several times that the lack of experience can work in their favor. Perspective can often be the determining factor in whether one's goal is considered achievable or a pipe dream.

Once genuine belief meets undeniable talent, anything becomes possible. Fortunately, the Spurs have both in spades. Game 4 was a demonstration of that. Mitch Johnson seemed confident and focused before tip-off, and the players seemed locked in during their warm-up period. Their poise must have been in the air because the fans weren't shaken either.

As I walked the halls of the Frost Bank Center 20 minutes before two titans were set to face off for the fourth time in seven days, the energy in the air was palpable. People were chanting, laughing, and singing as if San Antonio were leading the series instead of trailing in it. They knew their team would meet the challenge because they've done it all season.

They say you can't win if you haven't gone through playoff heartbreak with your teammates. The Spurs would vehemently disagree with that assessment. Victor Wembanyama and his band of merry men have spent the entire season ignoring the "rules" of the youth. So, if you plan on proving them wrong now, good luck. They won't make it easy because, as Vassell said, they're here now.
