It's clear that despite not putting up huge numbers, he has a massive impact on the young Spurs. He hit timely shots to keep the Thunder at bay and attacked the paint, forcing their defense to collapse. Fox also made a timely play by fouling with the Spurs up six with 23 seconds left.

It was a solid performance, all things considered. Not incredible, mind you, but a solid performance in the biggest game of the year. Even better, he will have a few days off between Game 7 and the start of the NBA Finals.

That means that he will get three full days off before Game 1 and two full days before Game 3. If the games in the Western Conference Finals had been more spaced out, he would have played even better with him having to play on an injured ankle.

The NBA Finals will be a different beast. The games are more spread out, allowing for more recovery time, and hopefully Fox will play at his best when they need him the most.

The Spurs point guard trio will be key to their offensive attack against the Knicks, and Fox is the crucial piece. San Antonio's turnover problems seem to disappear with Fox playing, and winning the possession game will be crucial to the Spurs' attack.
