Projecting the release date for the 2018-19 season schedule for the San Antonio Spurs and the other 29 NBA teams.
The NBA offseason remains in full swing, but the San Antonio Spurs, and the other 29 teams, are not far away from the start of the 2018-19 season. This will be the latest year that everyone tries to fend off the Golden State Warriors, who won the 2018 NBA Finals and three of the past four championships. San Antonio had its chance in the 2016-17 season, but fell short when an injury to Kawhi Leonard slowed them down and resulted in a 4-0 sweep by Golden State.
As of July 29, the 2018-19 schedule is not yet known, but the fans, players, coaches and organization may not have long until they find out, given the timetable of the 2017-18 release.
In 2017, the schedule went live on Monday, Aug. 14 for the Spurs. If that’s the case again, then look out for Monday, Aug. 13 or Monday, Aug. 20, starting the second and third weeks of the month, respectively.

So, fans can expect the schedule release in two or three weeks, if the NBA follows its previous routine. That’s the official unveiling of who the Spurs will face on Opening Night, if they will play on Christmas Day, when Kawhi Leonard returns to the AT&T Center and when DeMar DeRozan returns to Toronto.
Aside from this, the 2018-19 season will feature storylines of LeBron James on the Los Angeles Lakers, DeMarcus Cousins on the Warriors, the team that emerges out of an underwhelming Eastern Conference and more. The Spurs, who were a subject of the 2017-18 season, should drop back into a lower profile situation now that Leonard is with the Raptors.
The 2018-19 schedule will arrive soon. For the Spurs and the other 29 NBA teams, it will be a day to watch for, to see what to expect for the upcoming campaign.
