More from Air Alamo

Duncan had a career that many long for. There are not many players that can be drafted by a team and stay as loyal as he was for 19 seasons. San Antonio drafted Duncan No. 1 overall in the 1997 draft. The kid out of Wake Forest was all the talk entering the draft. His fundamental skills, the way he carried himself on and off the court is what every franchise hopes to find in a player.

San Antonio did, and Duncan became the face of the franchise.

Being drafted, Duncan was joined alongside future Hall of Famer David Robinson. What a way to start your NBA career right? The two became dominate forces for San Antonio. As they say, the rest is history.
