March: 15 Games

With San Antonio's playoff hopes fading fast, they will have to make hay in March. The team has a massive nine-game home stand in which to make a big post-season push. Then again, they'll have to face several likely playoff teams, including the Golden State Warriors, Denver Nuggets, Mavericks, Memphis Grizzlies, and the Suns twice.

A winning record would help a lot, but the Spurs would have to be playing at the top of their game to do so. Let's hope so, but with three games against the Warriors and two against the Suns, they may struggle again in March.

March Prediction: 7-8 (32-43)

April: 7 Games

Last but not least, we come to April, and with a projected 26 wins so far, the Spurs would have to make up serious ground late in the season. They may be facing several teams that have already secured a spot in the playoffs, including playing the Nuggets twice, but most teams will still be battling for seeding. The Spurs may also take their foot off the gas if they are out of the play-in race. That makes it a bit harder to project, but they could easily go 3–4 to close out the season.

April Prediction: 3-4 (35-47)

Ultimately, the Spurs have a surprisingly tough schedule, and even with Wembanyama, they may not sniff the playoffs next season. On the plus side, finishing with just a 35-47 record would likely result in them having another top-10 pick, allowing them to add to an already talented young core.
