The run-it-back bracket

The teams in this range are here for different reasons, but at the end of the day, it all boils down to an awesome matchup that fans want to see.

San Antonio Spurs vs. Memphis Grizzlies- 1/15/25

It took the absence of Ja Morant, Jaren Jackson and other key pieces for the Spurs to break an 11-game losing streak to the Memphis Grizzlies. While it was nice to get that monkey off San Antonio's back, said Primate is hanging on by the jersey, and the weight of knowing there's an asterisk on that win is cause to look forward to a rematch.

San Antonio Spurs vs. Denver Nuggets- 1/3/25

San Antonio beat Denver in their last matchup, but Vic didn't best Nikola Jokic in their last head-to-head. They met up while playing in the Olympics for their countries and Serbia took it to France. The loss was one of their biggest during international play and Wembanyama needs some payback. Besides, anytime you get to see Wemby go up against the best big in the NBA, that's a win.

San Antonio Spurs vs. Phoenix Suns- 12/3/24

It should be very easy to imagine why watching more Spurs matchups against Phoenix will be fun. Wembanyama gets to play against another freak athlete and his idol, Kevin Durant and they have a lot of firepower. It forces the team to pay extreme attention to detail or risk being blown out. Their games last year were fun, and San Antonio won three of them. More please.
