5. Target some vets for end of the bench

The Spurs are one of the youngest teams in the NBA with just Doug McDermott and Khem Birch over 30 years old. San Antonio needs some veterans to round out their roster. Ones that can teach Victor Wembanyama and help this young roster navigate the difficult 82-game slate.

Former Spurs Cory Joseph, George Hill, Danny Green, JaMychal Green, and Boban Marjanovic are all unrestricted free agents that would add experience and leadership to the locker room. These are not players that sign deals in the opening moments of free agency, but they play a key role for any contender, even in limited minutes.

San Antonio needs veterans rounding out their roster. Players to offer advice and encouragement to the younger players. Expect the Spurs to bring in guys from their championship teams to work with the young guys as developmental coaches. Fans will see Tim Duncan, David Robinson, and others helping mold the young talent.
