Spurs: Could DeMar DeRozan be traded to the Lakers?

Could a trade actually happen between the Spurs and Lakers?
There are a lot of variables at play in a potential trade between the Spurs and Lakers, making the situation between the two teams rather complicated. DeMar could choose to sign with another team or even re-sign with the Spurs, closing the door on a sign-and-trade. There's also the possibility that the Lakers repeat as champions and decide against making significant changes in free agency.
The Spurs may also not want to use valuable cap space on Kuzma and KCP, who'd make a combined $26 million next season. Despite the fact that acquiring both players would take up about half of the Spurs' projected cap space, enough should remain to make a significant offer to another free agent.
That being said, DeMar may be willing to take a pay cut and accept any role just to play in Los Angeles. The possibility very much remains of him joining the Lakers, especially if San Antonio strikes out in the free-agent market.
