3. Lottery chaos
Things usually feel calmer just days before the draft. There is usually a good feel for the top four picks and where prospects will end up, but not this year. The lottery could turn into complete chaos on Thursday night, and Spurs fans should certainly be rooting for that.
San Antonio avoided it all by winning the draft lottery. They will select Victor Wembanyama, and then, the madness could begin immediately at two.
The Pelicans want to trade up and might even be willing to offer Zion Williamson to try to get Scoot Henderson. Portland is shopping the third pick to try to get win-now help around Damian Lillard. The Rockets, Pistons, Pacers, and Mavericks are rumored to have their selections on the trade block as each franchise looks to return to the playoffs next season.
