Head-to-Head

The Grizzlies have had the Spurs' number for years now. San Antonio is currently on a 10-game losing streak when facing Memphis, and they have not defeated their divisional rivals since December 2020. This is not the first time Morant has missed time in the league, and without him in the lineup, Memphis has still bested the Silver and Black, making it more apparent than ever there is a need for more talent across the roster.

Well, more talent is arriving, starting with the upcoming draft. With Morant on the sidelines, offseason signings, and development from their young players, the Spurs can begin reclaiming their spot as the bully on the block. The 2-1-0's finest still hold a 74-36 record in their all-time head-to-head matchups against the Grizzlies, but now is not the time for them to allow Memphis to narrow the gap. After some careful calculations, that time is half past never.
