There was never a dull moment during the titanic clashes between the San Antonio Spurs and Los Angeles Lakers of the 2000s. With one franchise already having proven their greatness and the other one just beginning to, there was superstar power abound as they faced off in five postseasons in six seasons.

From 1999 to 2005, the two clubs each won three titles, going through each other four separate times during their respective title runs. It was quite a rivalry to witness in person, and naturally, I grew to despise the Lakers during that period. Of course, on the court, there was nothing but respect between some of the greatest players to ever play the game: Tim Duncan, Kobe Bryant, and Shaquille O'Neal.

Although I'm sure there were some bitter moments between the clubs in the heat of their battles, there was always a level of appreciation for what the other was able to accomplish. Shaq is constantly praising Tim Duncan and the Spurs and Kobe Bryant did so many times in various interviews as well. Although he doesn't speak publicly often, Duncan has done the same.

It's a shame some fans can't act with class similar to their idols. After the jump, I take a look at one of a few pointless tweets I've recently come across from Kobe superfans.
