Keldon Johnson

Keldon Johnson was an invaluable asset for the Spurs in this matchup, as he brought boundless energy and pitched in across the board. He fearlessly attacked the rim and was a force on the boards, which kept the defense on their toes. Though he has been inconsistent as a shooter this season, he took advantage of a weak three-point defense. Keldon wisely exploited the Warriors' lack of size and rebounding, which allowed him to have a massive impact on the game.

His dominance on the glass was instrumental for San Antonio, especially on the offensive end. He went above and beyond to secure the ball, even jumping over defenders to secure rebounds, which led to second-chance opportunities. When Johnson contributes in multiple areas, it greatly benefits the Spurs. The 24-year-old forward has also displayed impressive passing skills as of late, a welcome surprise as Jeremy Sochan is still adjusting to his new role as a point guard.

Keldon lived and died by the three-ball in previous seasons, and his long-range efficiency was a crucial factor in his value to the Spurs. However, if he can make small strides in expanding his game, it would ensure he can contribute elsewhere when opponents run him off the line. Only time will tell if these recent improvements are a temporary surge or if he is on the brink of making significant progress as a well-rounded player.
