With the ninth overall pick in the 2023 NBA Draft, the Utah Jazz select Taylor Hendricks, University of Central Florida. The freshman has quickly risen on draft boards in recent months, and understandably so. The 19-year-old averaged 15.1 points, 7.0 rebounds, and 1.4 assists, shooting 47.8 percent from the floor and 39.4 percent from three across 34 games with the Knights.

Considering his traits to turn into a versatile scorer and playmaker in the pros, the 6-foot-9 talent could be a scary duo with a young Jazz squad. With Danny Ainge's track record of betting on versatile forwards with elite upside (Jaylen Brown & Jayson Tatum), it would be hard to see Utah passing up on talent like Hendricks if he fell to them at nine. — John Canady, The J-Notes
