Spurs fans will have several exciting players to watch this season, including Victor Wembanyama, Keldon Johnson, Devin Vassel, and Jeremy Sochan. However, San Antonio also has several other talented youngsters on their roster who will have the opportunity to showcase their skills, prove their potential, and surprise everyone along the way.

5. Sidy Cissoko

We shouldn't have sky-high expectations for Sidy Cissoko this season. After all, the teenage prospect was the 44th overall pick in the latest draft class. The second-rounder has no NBA stats to build upon, and he will likely spend most of his rookie campaign developing on both sides of the ball with the Austin Spurs in the G League.

Despite slipping under the radar, Cissoko had an impressive Summer League showing, averaging 4.3 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 2.3 assists in almost 24 minutes per game. His performance sparked excitement that he might one day become a supersized point guard, which is especially intriguing since Tre Jones is the only player on the roster who naturally fills that position.

The young Frenchman demonstrated confidence and impressive skills in his unofficial Spurs debut, and it feels reasonable to suggest the team will eventually promote him to the big leagues to see how he fares against the highest level of competition. Cissoko will no doubt strive to earn a place in the rotation under the watchful eye of Gregg Popovich.
