3 Things that could take Jeremy Sochan's game to the next level
3.) Developing a Post Game
Toward the end of the season, Sochan started playing with his back to the basket and trying to score on post ups more often. While he wasn't all that efficient from this area, it was encouraging to see him becoming more away of his size advantage. If the 20-year-old can refine his footwork and add moves to his arsenal, he could become a mismatch nightmare for opponents. He might even turn into a post playmaking hub like Nikola Jokic.
Regardless of what Sochan works on for the rest of the offseason, there's little doubt that the young forward will continue to excel on defense and score on backdoor cuts. His unselfish playstyle should also mesh well with Keldon Johnson, Devin Vassell, and Victor Wembanyama, three players who are likely to shoulder the scoring load for the Spurs.
There's no telling what heights Sochan can reach. But with his undeniable charisma, umatched work ethic, and unique physical tools, seeing "NBA All-Star" next his name sometime soon might not be a far-fetched thought.
