The winningest head coach in league history has also mastered what it means to give back to your community. Just last season, as the city of Uvalde recovered from a tragic school shooting, the San Antonio Spurs traveled to the neighboring town to lift their spirits during a time of sorrow. Popovich kneeled to talk to children and stood tall to address the public as they rallied against gun violence.

The three-time NBA Coach of the Year has never been shy about using his massive platform to share his opinion on social justice issues and problems around the league. His peers have the utmost respect for him, and they would tell you Popovich has landed on the right side of history even when the solution doesn't directly benefit his well-being.
