11. Indiana Pacers snag Zaccharie Risacher
The Pacers hope to return to the playoffs this season. Tyrese Haliburton made his first All-Star appearance in 2023 and continues to improve. Indiana added Bruce Brown, Obi Toppin, and Jarace Walker, but was that enough? If the Pacers miss the postseason again, they will be searching for a talented wing who can make an impact for the next decade-plus.
Risacher is a 6’8 French wing who is playing his fourth professional season in Europe and continues to see his role expand. Through his first ten games, he has averaged 9.3 points, 4.0 rebounds, 0.9 assists, and 1.0 steal in 20.4 minutes per game. It is a small sample, but still impressive for an 18-year-old playing against adults.
The 6’8 wing can do a ton of different things. He is still growing into his body, but projects as a switchable defender who can run the break, rebound, and get to the rim. He must improve his jumper and add mass, but in a class light on wings, Risacher could vault up boards quickly. Teams want 6’8 athletes who can fill multiple roles, and the teenager has plenty of upside.
The Pacers may decide to take someone a bit more polished with this selection, but it is hard to pass up a 6’8 wing oozing with potential.
