2024 NBA Mock Draft 3.0: Spurs solve PG woes, Pistons go upside at 1

4. Charlotte Hornets snag Zaccharie Risacher
Risacher continues to climb up draft boards because he is shooting the lights out in France. The 6’9 wing has made 38 of his 81 3-pointers through 26 games for JL Bourg-en-Bresse across two competitions. He struggled in his first three professional seasons making just 32.0 percent of his 309 combined attempts. If Risarcher is a 40-plus percent 3-point shooter it changes his trajectory.
Beyond the shooting, the 18-year-old is averaging 11.5 points, 3.6 rebounds, 1.0 assist, and 1.0 steal in 22.5 minutes per game. Teams have long been intrigued by the 6’9 wing. His size, athletic ability, and basketball IQ are pluses. If the shooting holds up after a few mechanical tweaks, he will be a top-five pick. Without it, Risacher will still draw lottery buzz.
His defense is a bit of a question mark, but teams are less worried thanks to his size and experience. Risarcher may never be a lockdown option, but should hold his own as he reaches his prime.
The Hornets are stuck near the bottom of the standings and will be looking for the best player available to put around LaMelo Ball and Brandon Miller. Zaccharie Risacher can play the three or four and could become a key piece of Charlotte’s next playoff team.
