25. Denver Nuggets select Trey Alexander

Alexander continues to improve, but the 6’4 must find his jumper. He shot 41.0 percent from 3-point range last season but has dropped to 28.1 percent through 12 games. His improved playmaking, scoring, and defense have him in contention to go in the first round, but being an above-average shooter would seal it.

The Nuggets have a talented roster and would love to add someone who can contribute immediately. The 20-year-old’s three seasons of college basketball give him a leg up, and there should be plenty of open looks playing on the defending champs.

26. Indiana Pacers (via Thunder) draft Kel’el Ware

The seven-footer was a top-ten prospect in the 2022 high school class, who struggled mightily at Oregon. He transferred to Indiana and has been significantly better. His stock could skyrocket if he continues to shoot 37.5 percent from 3-point range while blocking shots and rebounding well.

The Pacers would love to add a stretch five behind Myles Turner, and head coach Rick Carlisle has had success maximizing jumpers. Indiana could be the perfect place for Ware.

27. Philadelphia 76ers snag Terrence Shannon Jr.

The fifth-year senior continues to improve. He has drawn some first-round buzz for years, but Shannon Jr. is finally putting it all together. His upside is elite shooter, secondary playmaker, and strong defender. The Sixers would love a 3-and-D wing flanking Joel Embiid and Tyrese Maxey for years to come.
