14. Alvin Robertson (1984-89)

If there's a former Spur Dejounte Murray resembles most, it's the two-way talent, Alvin Robertson. While Murray was just 10 years old, Robertson was leading the league in steals per game for two straight seasons.

On top of his elite defense, Robertson rebounded very well for his position and size (5.4), adding 16 points per game to boot. His best stretch of basketball started in his sophomore season, when he averaged 17.0 points, 6.5 rebounds, 5.5 assists, and an insane 3.67 steals per game in 1985-86. That mark is still a league record that will probably never be broken.

Highlight: Alvin Robertson gets 10 steals in three separate games with the Spurs, solidifying him as one of the best thieves in league history.

13. Avery Johnson (1990-2001)

It's about time we get back to another player who won a title in San Antonio. Avery Johnson's steady and underrated career was finally rewarded when The Big Fundamental came to town, but he had put in all his dues and then some by the time his big moment finally arrived.

One of only a handful of Spurs to spend 10+ years with the club, Johnson is the second-best facilitator in franchise history with 4,474 career assists. He was the definition of a pure point guard in San Antonio, beloved by his teammates for his ability to set them up and equally beloved by the community off the court.

Highlight: It's fitting that the Little General hit the biggest shot in the Spurs' first title run that would lead to several more over the next two decades.
