1. Bryn Forbes

Yup. Say what you will about Bryn Forbes' defensive issues -- we certainly have in the past. But the bottom line is Forbes is one of the best pure shooters in the league and has been for a few years now.

As a member of the NBA champion Milwaukee Bucks last season, Forbes was fourth in the league in 3-point percentage at 45.2. Of those top four, he made more threes (154) than all but league-leading Joe Harris (211). For his career, he's established a mark of 41.2 percent.

Across the seven categories I analyzed for this, Forbes is the leader in three. Here's how the full lists break down:

NBA

3P% - Regular Season
1. Forbes - 41.2
2. McDermott - 40.7
3. White - 35.7
4. Vassell - 34.7

3P% - Playoffs
1. Forbes - 37.7
2. White - 31.6
3. McDermott - 31.3

True Shooting % - Regular Season
1. McDermott - 59.1
2. Forbes - 57.4
3. White - 56.9
4. Vassell - 52.4

% from 10-16 feet - Regular Season
1. Vassell - 43.1
2. Forbes - 42.7
3. McDermott - 40.7
4. White - 37.7

% from 16 feet to 3-point line - Regular Season
1. Forbes - 47.3
2. White - 45.2
3. McDermott - 35.7
4. Vassell - 28.9

College

3P%
1. McDermott - 45.8
2. Forbes - 43.5
3. Vassell - 41.7
4. Wieskamp - 41.2
5. White - 39.6

True Shooting %
1. McDermott - 65.2
2. White - 62.7
3. Forbes - 61.1
4. Wieskamp - 60.1
5. Vassell - 57.9

Although his 3-point shooting numbers are already enough to have him at number one, his 47.3% clip on shots from the high mid-range area really seal the deal for Bryn. Shooting above 41% from three while also shooting above 47% from the 16 foot to 3-point line range is extremely impressive.

While Keldon technically accomplished that feat in 2019-20, that was on extremely limited 89 total attempts while Forbes has averaged 600 attempts over the last four seasons.

Next. 3 Lineups the Spurs need to try. dark

There really aren't any holes in Forbes' game when you're talking from a pure shooting standpoint. To make up for what he might give up defensively, he'll need to prove that more than ever this season.
