2014 - Tim Duncan gets the kind bounce to send OKC home
Seeking one last NBA Championship near the end of his career, Tim Duncan came up huge on the road to assure the Spurs would get a chance to get revenge on the Miami Heat. With all the weight on his shoulders in a hostile environment, the 37-year-old found himself with the ball with San Antonio up by one and 24 seconds on the clock.
Having already scored 17 points and pulled down 16 boards, The Big Fundamental showed the Oklahoma City crowd one last vintage shot to send the Thunder packing.
Coupled with Boris Diaw's huge 26-point game, Duncan's big night propelled the Spurs into the NBA Finals, where they were waiting to unleash a furious revenge series on the Miami Heat.
"We'll get it done this time," Tim Duncan famously said after closing out the Thunder. And then they did.
