Ideally, the San Antonio Spurs would be chock-full of guys capable of scoring well from everywhere on the floor this season. Unfortunately, that's not how it works when you don't have established All-Stars. While some guys have decent all-around games and have the potential to be special, nothing is certain without ample opportunity.
The 2021-22 season will be all about development and seeing what the young Spurs are made of each night. The playoffs are a distant yet not impossible goal, but the bigger answer the team is looking for this season has to do with their long-term future. But in the short term, they'd still love to win some games.
To make up for the lack of a true star right now, the Spurs will need to give the ultimate green light to some guys on offense -- players that can score from most places on the court without a glaring weakness. For the purpose of maintaining my stance that the Spurs need to vastly improve their 3-point attempts this season, I'll be including that as a requirement in this list (sorry, Keldon).
With that in mind, here are the three guys who should have an ultimate green light to fire away from just about anywhere on the court on offense this season.
