3. Montrezl Harrell (Charlotte Hornets)
Like Drummond, Montrezl Harrell is another NBA veteran that could give the Spurs a boost in some areas but will be deficient in others. Harrell is a go-getter that will keep possessions alive, finish at the rim with tenacity, and provide frenzied energy on every possession.
There's a lot to be said for the passion Harrell plays with, but the bottom line is his lack of height would be a real problem on a team that's already undersized. If the Spurs manage to move up in next month's NBA Draft to pick up a play-now, starting-caliber big man, that would probably be the biggest move they can realistically make this summer.
If they don't, they need to find the next best thing by nabbing someone 6-10 or higher at their current draft spots or finding one elsewhere.
Harrell is a perfectly serviceable NBA player and would have done well on Spurs teams of the past, but he just doesn't fit the holes that are most glaring on the current roster. He has a big game, but he doesn't have a big enough body, so San Antonio needs to look at other options here.
