3. Orlando Magic
While the Magic haven't had much success over the past decade, they've at least lived up to their nickname when it comes to the draft lottery. They've selected first in the NBA Draft four times in their history, including Paolo Banchero, who they just recently took number one. Banchero should help them win games next season, but the Magic probably have less talent now than any team on this list.
That means they're likely to finish in the bottom three, and the Magic would have another opportunity to land the number one pick. Were that to happen, they could pair Wembanyama with Banchero and recent top 10 picks Jalen Suggs and Franz Wagner. Overall, the Spurs could have one of the worst records in the NBA next season, which may result in them selecting first in next year's draft.
To maximize their lottery odds, the Spurs would need to finish in the bottom three, and their main competition could be the Thunder, Rockets, and Magic.
