Elfrid Payton - 28 years old

Elfrid Payton isn't the best option for the Spurs, but beggars can't be choosers. He could fit well in Pop's system as the team's secondary lead guard. Payton has enough experience in the NBA to read defenses well. Before getting drafted into the league, he drew comparisons to Rajon Rondo, which wasn't far off. Last season, the former 10th overall pick was with the Phoenix Suns, where the guard didn't get enough playing time. Like Burke, there was a decrease in production, but he did what he had to with the time given.

If the Spurs decide to sign him, he'll get a chance to play an exciting open-court game with the young stars. Payton is effective in fast-paced situations, in which the team has capitalized on some instances. Not only does he offer to create opportunities on offense, but he also has exceptional defensive instincts, which the team could always use more of.

The 6-foot-3 guard has notable physical attributes that help him hold his own on defense. I mean, he has a 6-foot-7 wingspan. What more can I say?
