2. Tim Duncan

Whenever basketball fans hear San Antonio Spurs, the name Tim Duncan is usually the first person to come to mind. Duncan is the greatest Spur ever, after all. Widely known for his quiet and humble demeanor, Tim was selected 1st overall in 1998 and wasted no time announcing his presence in the NBA.

Duncan is the reason for their five championships, and he transformed the image of the San Antonio Spurs into a winning organization. Duncan is a Hall of Famer and a champion, and he never backed down from a challenge. He was always focused on the task at hand, not letting his competitors get the best of him. When they lost to the Miami Heat in 2013, he led them back to the Finals the following year to capture their 5th title.

The Big Fundamental has remained out of the spotlight but he's always been within reach when it comes to helping out. Back in 2001, he established the Tim Duncan Foundation to support non-profit organizations focused on youth programs. Similar to the people on this list, Duncan has always used his platform to help those in need.
