4. Keldon Johnson’s game-winner against the Golden State Warriors

The Spurs and the Golden State Warriors matched up against each other on March 20th. Coming off a loss against the New Orleans Pelicans, the Spurs were looking to get back to the win column. Meanwhile, the Warriors were trying to do the same thing after losing to the Boston Celtics. Both teams were high on securing a win.

The entire game was pretty close. One team would gain an advantage while the other would try to mount a comeback. The Warriors were without their star, Stephen Curry, but they still put up a fight. Klay Thompson and Jordan Poole stepped up big time and combined for 52 points. The Spurs, on the other hand, relied on Josh Richardson, who scored 25 points off the bench.

Late in the fourth quarter, Jakob Poeltl was fouled. He knocked down the first of two free throws, tying the game at 108. With 2.4 seconds on the clock, Poeltl missed his second free throw and Keldon Johnson got hold of the ball. Without thinking twice, Johnson banked a game-winning layup, leaving 0.3 seconds on the clock, giving us an amazing piece of Spurs history.

3. Dejounte Murray’s first All-Star game

Dejounte Murray surprised everyone this season. Honestly, if you were to ask me, I didn’t think an All-Star selection was going to happen this season. I mean, I’ve always seen the potential Murray has, but he was able to elevate his game even more this season and became the Spurs’ solid leader.

Still, It was a shock to a lot of fans when the All-Star reserves were announced and Murray wasn’t included. One obvious reason is that the Western Conference is filled with talented backcourt players. Unfortunately, the Warriors’ Draymond Green was injured at that time. After being named an All-Star reserve, Green endorsed Murray to be his replacement.

After being recognized as one of the best young players in the league, it’s safe to say Murray has found his stride. Spurs fans are hyped for Murray’s improvement and can’t wait to see how he's going to keep surprising everyone.
