5. Devin Vassell’s consistent improvement

Devin Vassell is one of my favorite players on the Spurs right now. His 3-and-D style of play has made him a fan favorite as well.

In his rookie season, he finished with averages of 5.5 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 0.9 assists per game while shooting 40.6% from the field and 34.7% from the 3-point area. This year, he cleared 10.0 points per game and improved in other areas too. He put up 12..3 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 1.9 assists per game with shooting percentages of 42.7% from the field and 36.1% from three.

His defense has gotten a lot better as well, from getting 0.7 to 1.1 steals per game. If you take a look at his advanced stats, he’s 4th in defensive win shares with 2.0 after being 7th last season with 1.1. Improving on his game, fans are excited to see Vassell reach his full potential. With the team hungry for a shot at the title, Vassell’s improvement can help them boost their future.
