4. Montrezl Harrell
I've argued in favor of the Spurs going after Montrezl Harrell in the past. After all, he's a passionate bundle of energy that battles in every possession as if it's his last. He'd also be more adept at scoring the basketball from the center position than anyone currently on the roster.
Now entering his seventh NBA season, Harrell would also provide a veteran presence, and I'd suspect he would get along very well with other high-energy guys like Keldon Johnson and Dejounte Murray.
It wouldn't be the worst thing in the world to obtain someone like Harrell in free agency, but I've maintained for months that San Antonio badly needs to get bigger in addition to getting more diverse at the five slot. In my mind, bigger means at least 6-10 and diverse means being able to stretch the floor with an outside jumper.
There will be plenty of ways the Spurs can fulfill that need over the summer, and that wouldn't leave much room for an undersized five, even if he has serious skills to offer.
