47. Losing the 2013 NBA title

If it weren’t for that loss, I don’t think the Spurs would have come back in 2014, getting the sweetest victory ever and destroying the Miami Heat’s big three.

48. Winning all five of those titles

Five titles is more than any team aside from Los Angeles, Boston, and Chicago. For a small market team, that’s not too bad.

49. Tim Duncan 

The best power forward ever kept the Spurs in contention for 20 straight years. He’s the GOAT in my book.

50. Gregg Popovich 

The best coach, no question about it. Five titles and more wins than anyone, and it all came with the same franchise. Popovich has done more for the Spurs than any player or coach has done for any other team, period.
