5 Things Spurs fans must know about 2022-23 schedule

2. The Spurs will be playing the Miami Heat in Mexico City
The Spurs have always been beloved in Mexico City, and the upcoming season will allow their fans south of the Texas border to see their heroes once again. The franchise has previously played games in Mexico City in 1994, 1995, 2010, 2017, and 2019.
In their latest venture to Mexico, the Spurs came out on top in an overtime thriller against the Phoenix Suns thanks to a clutch shot by Patty Mills.

On December 17th, the Spurs will play host to another city with a high Hispanic population -- Miami. The Spurs and Heat have had contentious battles in the past, facing off in the NBA Finals in back-to-back seasons in 2013 and 2014. Lately, however, it's been all Heat, who've won seven of the last eight matchups and four straight overall.
3. There will be legendary bobblehead giveaways
In a new twist to their popular bobblehead giveaway nights, the Spurs will be handing out five throughout the season that will ultimately come together to form a Spurs river barge. Think of it as a Spurs transformer, or if you're old and cool enough to remember, a San Antonio version of the Power Rangers Megazord.
Project Spurs' Paul Garcia shared more about the giveaways on Twitter:

In addition to celebrating these legends, the team will also celebrate their most recent championship on 2014 Championship Night, which will take place on March 14th against the Orlando Magic.
