3. If All Else Fails, Get Ready For A Lottery Pick

If no one on the Spurs roster is able to make a jump significant enough to propel them to the play-in, then Spurs fans will just have to get excited about having a chance at landing a high lottery pick. Fortunately, the 2023 draft class will contain some high-end talent.

In fact, one of the most hyped prospects in recent memory is projected to go first overall in next summer's draft: Victor Wembanyama. Standing at seven-foot-three, Wemby is an outrageously large and skilled prospect that has a chance to be one of the most impactful draft picks in years.

Interestingly enough, Wembanyama played for French professional team ASVEL Basket in 2021-22, the President of which is former Spurs legend Tony Parker. He has since opted out of his contract with the team, but there's certainly already a Spurs connection there for him.

There is a host of other talented players slated to be drafted in the lottery next year, so the Spurs will absolutely have a chance at a franchise-changing player if they do end up in the lottery.
