Antoine Davis - Detroit Mercy

Another Horizon League player, Antoine Davis is an elite point guard who has established himself as one of the best floor generals in the nation. At only 6-1, playing in the NBA might be a bit of a stretch, but in college, he’s shooting nearly 40% from deep, easily scoring 22 points a night, and dishing out well over five dimes.

Davis did not receive any Division I offers and he walked on to UD Mercy’s team after his dad was appointed head coach. While that certainly smells like nepotism to me, that wouldn’t get him three All-Conference first-team nods (and counting), so the move paid off for the Detroit Titans.

Davis has quickly proven he is one of the best mid-major guards in the country, although whether or not that will transition into the NBA is yet to be seen. The second round is not for playing it safe though, and Davis could make a fine addition if everything goes his way.
