Keldon Johnson finished an excellent 2021-22 season. He increased his point production and has become a more efficient shooter from deep. During 2K's last update, the 6-foot-6 forward had an 82 overall rating. It wasn't a significant increase because the video game started off with Johnson at an 80.
Based on his performance last season as an all-around three-and-D player, the young forward deserves a higher rating. The Philadelphia 76ers guard Tyrese Maxey, who had a similar point-production and usage rate as Johnson, is starting off with an 85 overall rating. If 2K has Maxey at an 85, Johnson should have a similar rating.
After Dejounte Murray got traded during the offseason, it opened a new door for Keldon Johnson's improvement. For this 2022-23 campaign, the Olympic gold medalist will get many chances being the focal point of the Spurs' offense.
In the end, these are just ratings of a video game. They're just numbers, and don't show the real impact of a player in their team, but it's disappointing nonetheless.
