3 San Antonio Spurs players with the most to prove next season

The San Antonio Spurs had quite the tumultuous 72 games this past season filled with encouraging highs and demoralizing lows, resulting in a final record of 33 wins and 39 losses. Being that this is now the second season in a row that the Spurs did not make the playoffs, fans could be in for an interesting off-season, to say the least.
The players should similarly be in for a ride themselves this offseason. We just learned this past Monday that the Spurs front office opted not to extend a qualifying offer to Quinndary Weatherspoon and that he will be entering free agency. This may only be the first of several moves that the front office will be making in the near future, and some of the Spurs' young players will surely be looking to make a statement with their performances next season.
This is not to mention the fact that the 2021 NBA Draft is only about a month and a half away. This draft class will be particularly stacked with talent throughout the first round and even into the second round. Depending on who the Spurs pick on draft night, there's a decent chance that there will be several players on the roster competing for minutes and/or a starting role, especially if the Spurs choose to draft another guard or wing.
Considering that this coming season will likely be a more or less defining season for several players on the Spurs roster, here we'll look at the three Spurs players that will have the most to prove next season and what it is that they'll need to prove.
