San Antonio Spurs Release Summer League Schedule

The San Antonio Spurs have announced their Summer League schedule, which will be the first time their new rookies step onto an NBA court.

San Antonio Spurs fans had been excited for months to see what the organization would do with their three picks in this year’s draft, and after Thursday night’s festivities we finally have names to put next to those draft slots.

Luka Samanic, Keldon Johnson, and Quinndary Weatherspoon will all be on the roster for the Spurs’ Summer League schedule that builds up to the main event in Las Vegas, which has become bigger than ever before in recent years.

Reprted undrafted signee Kenny Williams out of North Carolina will also be on San Antonio’s Summer League squad.

This year’s Summer League schedule will allow Spurs fans to familiarize themselves with their top pick Luka Samanic, who most NBA fans haven’t seen outside of some YouTube highlight reels of his time in Europe.

It will be fun to see how the raw Croatian big man stacks up against the other top talent that will be showcased in the Las Vegas Summer League.

Las Vegas Summer League Schedule (all times Central)

Sunday, July 7 vs. Charlotte Hornets – 2:30 PM
Monday, July 8 vs. Minnesota Timberwolves – 8 PM

The Spurs will also play the Cavaliers, Grizzlies, and the Jazz during the Utah Summer League which will take place from July 1-3.

Summer League will also allow Samanic and Keldon Johnson to earn some incredibly valuable competitive experience at just 19 years old.
