With Dejounte Murray’s NBA All-Defensive team award, let’s look back at previous San Antonio Spurs that were recipients of this.

On Wednesday, San Antonio Spurs guard Dejounte Murray was named a part of the 2018 NBA All-Defensive Second Team. Joel Embiid, Draymond Green, Al Horford and Jimmy Butler were the others.

It’s not the first time a Spur has earned All-Defensive honors, however. With a strong defensive history of the past 20 years, a handful of players have been recognized for their work at the opposite end of the floor. That goes back as soon as the 2016-17 season.

So which Spurs did Murray join? Let’s take a look:

It’s a full list of Spurs that have won NBA All-Defensive honors, with the franchise’s all-time greats in the mix. At just 21 years old, do not expect this to be Murray’s only time mentioned for defensive recognition.
