The San Antonio Spurs announced the official injury report for Monday’s game vs. the Memphis Grizzlies. Who will not play?
On Monday night, the San Antonio Spurs will host the Memphis Grizzlies for the final time this season. It’s a matchup of a playoff team vs. a team that’s not close to the race for seeding. However, it’s one that might be impacted by injuries and an attempt to get out of a 2-8 stretch.
Injuries and the Spurs have come hand in hand this season, with everyone from the top of the roster to the bottom hurt (except Patty Mills and Bryn Forbes). This caused the rotation to be in flux and rarely have the starting five that was desired before the start of this campaign — one that featured Kawhi Leonard at small forward. However, he has missed all but nine games due to quad and shoulder injuries.
The Spurs announced the injury report for the Grizzlies game, and, to no surprise, Leonard (return from injury management) will not suit up. LaMarcus Aldridge (sprained right ankle), who did not play vs. the Los Angeles Lakers, remains “questionable.”

If Aldridge returns, it gives San Antonio the go-to scorer it missed vs. the Lakers, which contributed to the loss. If he does not play, though, look for Davis Bertans and Joffrey Lauvergne to receive extra time; Bertans started for Aldridge on Saturday.
The Spurs and Grizzlies will take the court at 8:30 p.m. ET on FSSW and FSSE. Will Aldridge suit up and be ready to go?
