The San Antonio Spurs and New York Knicks will go head-to-head to start 2018. A look at how to watch online.
On Tuesday night, the San Antonio Spurs will kick off 2018 on the road. It’s against the New York Knicks, taking place at Madison Square Garden in New York City, NY. It’s the second time these teams will play in the past week. The Spurs won the previous matchup on Dec. 28, which included impressive performances from LaMarcus Aldridge, Pau Gasol and Kyle Anderson.
In this game, the Silver and Black didn’t have Kawhi Leonard available due to “return from injury management.” However, that may change for the rematch, as he remains “probable” to play. Will the Knicks be able to contain him in a possible season-high dose of minutes?
Rudy Gay won’t be available in New York. After suffering a right heel injury in the first game, he was declared “out” for at least two weeks, before being re-evaluated.
Otherwise, San Antonio should be healthy and ready for Tuesday’s matchup. That means all the top players will be on the floor, barring a last-second scratch. It’s the first of a back-to-back, though, so it’s possible head coach Gregg Popovich decides to rest a player or two, unless it’s saved for Wednesday’s matchup in Philadelphia.
