The San Antonio Spurs and Dallas Mavericks will go head-to-head on Monday night. A look at the game information.
On Monday night, the San Antonio Spurs will return to the court for its 20th game of the 2017-18 season. This is against the Dallas Mavericks, and will be the second meeting between these teams through the first six weeks.
This game’s story will be the return of Tony Parker, who confirmed this on Sunday. He missed all of training camp, the preseason and the first 19 games of the season, due to a torn quad. This was suffered in the 2017 NBA Playoffs, sidelining the 35-year-old in the second round.
As of this writing, Parker is listed as questionable. Given the announcement, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see him receive action. The amount of minutes played remains to be seen, along with his spot in the rotation. Will head coach Gregg Popovich make a change at point guard? What would it mean for Patty Mills and Dejounte Murray? Let’s see what the results are in the Alamo City.
Other than this, Kawhi Leonard and Derrick White will not play against the Mavericks. Leonard remains out with a quad injury, while White’s fractured wrist has yet to heal. Both don’t have a timetable to return.
