The San Antonio Spurs and Charlotte Hornets will go head-to-head on Friday night. A look at how to watch this game online.
On Friday night, the San Antonio Spurs will return to the hardwood for its ninth game of the 2017-18 season. It’s against the Charlotte Hornets, the latest Eastern Conference team on the schedule, as well as a home game.
The Spurs are on a four-game skid, having lost Thursday to the Golden State Warriors. Other defeats came to the Orlando Magic, Indiana Pacers and Boston Celtics.
Every game of the season has been without Kawhi Leonard and Tony Parker. Both remain out with quad injuries, with no timetable for a return. Joffrey Lauvergne will miss Friday’s game, as well, the sixth consecutive one, due to a right ankle sprain.
Manu Ginobili will also rest the second of a back-to-back. Given he’s 40-years-old, expect more of this throughout the season.
Against the Warriors, head coach Gregg Popovich made his first starting lineup change of the season. He replaced Dejounte Murray with Patty Mills. The former struggled over the past four games and didn’t do much to change that perception, shooting below 40 percent.
LaMarcus Aldridge remains the leading scorer for the Spurs, putting up over 20 points in all but one game. If he’s not sharp, it will be tough for the Silver and Black to stay in any game.
