The San Antonio Spurs’ history started to become plentiful in the 1998-99 NBA season when they won their first NBA championship. That continued in 2003, 2005, 2007, and 2014.

All five of these Spurs teams had Tim Duncan lead the way. His future Pro Basketball Hall of Fame career was headlined by those championships, as well as monster stats in the postseason and the regular season, which saw those teams dominate in the latter.

David Robinson was another notable player for the Spurs, arguably their best player of all time before Duncan was selected in the 1997 NBA Draft. Robinson carried the team through the 1990’s, making multiple playoff appearances and being one of the most dominant big men in the league.

Outside of Robinson and Duncan, and players like Tony Parker and Manu Ginobili, the Spurs’ rosters have been full of role players and starters that bounced on and off the team. Some of them are some of the league’s most notable players of the last 20-30 years, while others saw a higher level of success after retiring.

These “forgotten” players had prominent roles on some of the championship teams. Other had a cup of coffee in San Antonio, before retiring or finding success on another franchise.

Let’s take a look at 25 players you may have forgotten that played for the Spurs. Who are some of the most notable names to wear the Silver and Black for a brief time?
