Sunday’s Summer League game for the San Antonio Spurs saw Bryn Forbes break out yet again.

On Sunday night, the San Antonio Spurs took to the 2017 Vegas Summer League to play the Philadelphia 76ers. They looked to continue forward on an up-and-down summer in terms of wins and losses.

Bryn Forbes was dominant in the Utah Summer League and the first contest of the Vegas games. Would he do something similar against the Sixers?

The Spurs’ Summer League schedule is closing in. Before it ends, let’s look at Sunday’s game and the takeaways.

Game Star

Once again, the Game Star goes to Forbes, who put up 35 points. It’s the highest total of the 2017 Summer League, as the San Antonio Spurs Twitter account noted.

Forbes, who’s playing on a partially guaranteed contract, is working his way into a guaranteed spot on the regular season roster. He’s shown consistency, albeit at an abnormal rate for almost any NBA player.

However, these 20 point-plus performances should do plenty for Forbes making the team, even in a bench role. He’s flashed enough upside to deserve the opportunity on Gregg Popovich’s bench.

Draft Picks

Derrick White did not play against the 76ers, so he can’t be factored in. However, Jaron Blossomgame started and played 23 minutes.

Blossomgame isn’t scoring at high rates, but continues to rebound. He had just two shots, scoring three points and picking up six rebounds. They’re not gaudy numbers, but enough to fill a role.

It’s difficult to think Blossomgame will make the fall roster, too. With a two-way deal in place, look for him to start the year with the Austin Spurs of the G-League.

It’s safe to say Forbes had a good night, based on these highlights.
