The San Antonio Spurs’ official schedule for the 2016-17 season was released Thursday afternoon.
October 25, opening night in the NBA, San Antonio will begin their campaign away from the AT&T Center. The Spurs will make their way into Oracle Arena to take on the Golden State Warriors. San Antonio will be the first team to get a crack at the new look Warriors as they signed heavily sought out prize, Kevin Durant over the summer.

The Warriors have the core of a team that won an NBA-record 73 games last season. Though their season did not end up with way they would of liked with an NBA title, they did make it to the Finals as many believed but fell to Cleveland. The Warriors got stronger by adding five-time scoring champion Durant, a player the Spurs also courted.
The Spurs also play the Warriors at the AT&T Center on March 11 and March 29. San Antonio will have their first home opener for the first time since 1998 without Tim Duncan–San Antonio hosts the New Orleans Pelicans.
There are two notable games San Antonio fans may want to mark on their calendars. Two former players Boris Diaw and Boban Marjanovic will make their returns to the AT&T Center with their new teams. November 1, Diaw and the Utah Jazz, and ten days later on November 11 Marjanovic and the Pistons are in town.
San Antonio will once again be apart of NBA action during the holiday seasons. The Spurs will welcome the new look Chicago Bulls. Pau Gasol faces his former employer as two of the leagues brightest stars Kawhi Leonard and Jimmy Butler go head-to-head. It will also be the first time San Antonio fans will see Dwyane Wade with his new team after leaving Miami in free agency.
No game on New Year’s Eve for the silver and black, but they do travel to Atlanta to take on the Hawks on New Year’s Day.
We can’t forget to look at the Spurs annual Rodeo Road Trip. This year’s eight-game trip starts on February. 6 in Memphis and concludes on Feb. 26 against the Lakers.
The regular season for the Spurs ends as it began, on the road. They will face the Jazz on April 12.
